Ree Drummond is a big movie fan. The Pioneer Woman took the time to list some of her favorite movies. The list was quite extensive. She says she spent two months on her list of 33 must-watch movies (the title of her list is 32, but there are actually 33 movies on the list). Here are six of Drummond’s favorite movies.
How Ree Drummond Decided Which Movies to Include
Drummond says she didn’t want to include just a random list of movies she thought were good. His list includes films that had a significant impact on him.
“The films on this list are the ones that have made a lasting impression on me, either in theme, story, or acting,” Drummond said on his website. “These aren’t the only movies I like to watch, because if that were the case, I’d have a hundred more on the list. No, the movies on this list, to me, are really great movies that I’ve always wanted to watch. Will leave, and that I can watch over and over, watch over and over again, and never get burned or bored.”
Drummond says the films on his list have compelling stories and excellent acting. She also says that these movies are so good that she can’t stop watching herself. Here are 10 of Drummond’s favorite movies.
start, starring Leonard DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Marion Cotillard and Elliot Page, was released on July 13, 2010. Drummond’s description start As a “mind-twisting story”. After watching the movie, she says it “eaten up” her for weeks.
City, starring Ben Affleck, Jeremy Renner and Rebecca Hall, was released on September 17, 2010. Drummond’s description City As “Best Boston Crime Film”. She likes how the film makes her feel like she is in the middle of the action. “It’s one of those tough movies where you pull in for the criminal, but only because he wants to get out of that life,” Drummond said on his website.
rain Man, starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman, was released on December 12, 1988. Drummond says he loves the film because Dustin Hoffman is in it. She also enjoys watching the relationships between the main characters. She says the film left her “sobbing on the floor”.
zero dark thirty
zero dark thirtyReleased on December 19, 2012, is about the expulsion of Osama bin Laden. The film is told from the perspective of Maya, a CIA agent, played by actor Jessica Chastain. Drummond says her favorite part of the film is Jessica Chastain.
purple colour was released on December 18, 1985, and starred Whoopi Goldberg, Oprah Winfrey and Danny Glover. Drummond says the film was his first acquaintance with Goldberg’s acting. She says that her favorite moment from the film is when the characters Seely and Netty reunite.
body heat, starring William Hurt and Kathleen Turner, hit theaters on August 28, 1981. Drummond says it’s best to make sure kids aren’t around while watching this movie. “This movie is sultry and dark, and I love it,” she says.
