Undertaker will forever be considered a legend in the world of professional wrestling. They will never forget the contributions they made to the business that gave them 30 years of their lives and sacrificed their bodies. It seems Deadman was interested in competing in the MMA world.
The Undertaker had his final match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 at the Boneyard. The match was a spectacular success and received critical acclaim from fans and superstars.
The Undertaker retired last year at Survivor Series pay-per-view and has since retired. Deadman made it clear that the return match was not good.
While speaking at Shawn and RJ Radio Show, The Undertaker revealed what Vince McMahon would have believed if he had stepped into the MMA world in the past.
“It was probably 15 years ago, maybe more. The UFC is really coming, and I’ve always liked tests. Testing myself in one way or another. I was a little bit boxed up in my late teens. But if I had any kind of wrestling lineage, I would have to stick my toe in there. I think my love is always WWE and what we do.
I thoroughly enjoy what we do. Occasionally, you will want to test the waters and see how you fit in with different types and sports of people. That was probably the biggest reason I didn’t, and maybe Vince had a coronary heart. He would say, ‘What do you want to do?’ He probably resisted the idea, but if I had a strong amateur wrestling background, I think I could have tested the waters.
The Undertaker recently revealed that he will join the army if pro wrestling doesn’t work for him. The Undertaker has been enjoying his life in retirement ever since, but he also mentioned earlier that he wanted to mentor young WWE talent. We’ll have to see what’s next for Phenom.
