The van of Harry Styles’ tour group was hijacked by gunmen in Brazil


A tour van with Harry Styles’ stage band has been hijacked by gunmen in Brazil, according to local reports.

This was reported by the Brazilian publication G1Styles’ crew were heading south on the highway towards the southern city of Curtiba, where the singer is due to perform tomorrow (December 10).

The news agency added that three people stopped the car on the BR-116 road, the attackers have not yet been identified.

Local media initially reported that Styles’ gear was in the truck and said it was stolen, but later clarified that it was actually a tour merchandise truck.

Local police added that the attackers “subdued” the truck driver, but there were no reports of injuries.

NME reached out to Harry Styles’ reps for comment.

No word yet on whether Styles’ show in Curtiba will go ahead. He will then continue his Love On Tour in South America, playing in Sao Paulo on December 12th and 13th.

“That was one thing,” Styles told the crowd after the intruder was tackled and removed by security.

The singer, who released his third solo album Harry’s House in May, is due to return to the UK and Ireland next summer as part of his mammoth tour.
