The woman put her baby up for adoption after a sperm donor claimed she was Japanese when she was Chinese

Reports say that a heartless Japanese mother put her baby up for adoption after discovering that her sperm donor was Chinese.

The woman, a 30-year-old Tokyo resident, reportedly shared a baby with her husband but did not want another with him after discovering he had a genetic condition – so he decided to find a donor on social media.

A Japanese woman has filed a lawsuit against a biological father of a child whom she has set up for adoption after she has lied about her identity.

The donor she chose is a Japanese, graduated from the luxury Kyoto University and has been around 10 times, Tokyo Shimbun newspaper reported.

But after getting pregnant in June 2019, the woman discovered that the donor was really Chinese.

To her horror, she learned that he had gone to a different uni.

When she found out it was too late for the baby to have an abortion, it was reported.

So she gave up the baby for adoption.

She is now suing for fraud, citing “emotional distress” caused by his lies for 330 million yen (£ 2.1 million).

According to reports, the woman’s lawyer said she decided to sue sperm donors to prevent them from falling victim to fraud.

He said: “In Japan, there is no public system or legal system for sperm donation.”

Child welfare officer Mizuho Sasaki called the woman “deep.”

She told VICE: “It is not acceptable to treat a child as an object.

“But I think it’s best to leave the child with someone who can be a good supportive parent.”
