SAN DIEGO – The Yankees are expected to meet with Brandon Nimmo in San Diego. They are looking for two outfielders, so in theory they could sign Judge and Nimmo, but that would stretch their budget.
The Mets have expressed interest in Jameson Taillon, so there is no sign of an unholy alliance between the teams. The Mets don’t like Judge – not to do the Yankees any favors – but perhaps because their budget will already be the highest in MLB when they fill all their holes.

If the Yankees sign Judge and Nimmo, who could come to the winter meetings, they will have the best protected outfield in the majors along with Harrison Bader.
The Yankees also talked about Andrew Benintendi and Japanese star Masataka Yoshida. Yoshida applied to be announced by the Orix Buffaloes a few days ago and is awaiting approval.
Involvement of the twins With Carlos Rodon Unless Carlos Correa re-signs, that will become a reality. Correa remains their top target after a solid first year in Minnesota, and they’re all for him. It will be interesting to see if he can beat the $300 million, 11-year contract Trea Turner received from the Phillies.
