There was complete chaos in Marseille vs PSG Lig One

France’s ‘Le Classic’ match between Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain has a tendency to mess up, and tonight’s match at the Stade Velodrome is no different.

Despite the pleas of Dmitry Payet and Marseille President Jacques-Henry-Irad, Marseille fans regularly threw missiles like paper and bottles on the pitch.

It was so bad that Nimar had to bring riot shields out of security whenever he went to take a corner.

The exact same thing happened to the Brazilian superstar in 2017 and he was sent to two yellow cards within minutes.

He was replaced by Gini Wijnaldum after this time of ineffective performance.

Lionel Messi was unable to make an impression on Ligue One in the fixture but was involved in some of the game’s most bizarre moments when he chased a fan while dribbling.

In the second half of the counterattack, the six-time Ballon d’Or winner appeared in a trademark fashion, wearing a puffer jacket and jeans.

The fan, after somehow gaining access to the pitch relatively easily, put an arm around Messi before the Stewards finally removed him from the turf.

The last man was sent off before the hour mark for tying the PSG summer signing Achraf Hakimi to Cengage Under.

The referee initially fined the Turkish international for handball but after seeing the VAR screen, he changed his decision and sent Hakimi.

Both sides did not allow offside goals and it ended all squares, with PSG clearing seven points after this weekend’s results.
