This year’s offerings include family-friendly options, drama, comedy and horror.

Additionally, with Christmas just around the corner, holiday-themed gifts are starting to roll.

Between streaming and theatrical releases, indie flicks and high-profile offers, here’s a look at this year’s Thanksgiving movies.

“Charm”

Disney’s animated musical adventure, “Encanto” follows the story of a little girl’s magical family.

“It’s about this extraordinary family of Madrigals living in the mountains of Colombia, and everyone in the family, except Mirabel, has this special power,” Fandango managing editor Eric Davis told LBL. “But soon, they realize that Mirabel may hold the key to protecting that power.”

The film stars “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” alum Stephanie Beatriz and the story is developed by “Hamilton” writer Lynn-Manuel Miranda, who wrote original music for the film.

Written and directed by Tony winner Stephen Karam, who also wrote the original play, “The Humans” features a small-but-powerful cast, including a rare dramatic turn by comedian Amy Schumer.

“This is primarily about a marriage between Maurizio Gucci and Patrizia Reggiani, with all its ups and downs and suspicious betrayal and ultimately murder,” Davis explained.
