Tom Brady is finally putting sports aside to focus on family after retiring from the NFL for the second time and finalizing his divorce from Gisele Bündchen.
“I’m looking forward to exploring many other parts of life that have been put aside for a while,” Brady said in Monday’s “Let’s Go!” said in the episode Podcast on SiriusXM. “I’ll feel some different things, I’m sure, as things go along, but you know, I’m doing great.”
The former quarterback, 45, added that he’s “in a great place” and “excited for what’s to come.”
“My friend says the future is one day at a time, and I think with any great chapter ending, there’s another great opportunity ahead,” he said.
Brady even joked about retiring twice in one year.
“I’ve done it once before, so I’ve got to figure it out and actually get good at it,” he added, adding, “It’s all brand new.”
The seven-time Super Bowl champion first retired in February 2022 but returned to the field just weeks later. Last week, he announced he was quitting football “for good”.
Brady and Bündchen, 42, were married from 2009 to 2022 and have two children together: son Benjamin, 13, and daughter Vivian, 10. The athlete also co-parents son Jack, 15, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynihan.
Sources exclusively told Page Six last September that Brady’s decision to briefly retire contributed to the end of their 13-year marriage.
“Gizelle has always been with the kids,” an insider shared at the time. “They had agreed that he would retire to focus on family, then he changed his mind.”
Despite their issues, the supermodel showed support for her children’s father as he announced his second retirement, wishing him well in an Instagram comment.
Brady and Bündchen are raising their children and both live in Miami. He bought an $11.5 million mansion from her compound. They also visited an elite private school separately for Benjamin and Vivian.
The former Victoria’s Secret Angel has been spending more of her time with her jiu-jitsu instructor Joachim Valente of late, though it’s unclear if they’re more than just friends.
Meanwhile, a source told Page Six last week that Brady won’t be dating anyone anytime soon.
“He’s not officially dating anyone right now,” the insider shared. “His friends want to set him up, but he’s all about the kids.”
And yet, Brady made headlines Monday for posting a shirtless thrust trap in his underwear on Instagram. Maybe he’s just making sense.
