Toni Collette and Dave Galafassi are calling it quits after nearly two decades together.
The Emmy-winning actress shared a joint statement on her Instagram account on Wednesday, revealing their intention to separate.
The Staircase star posted a photo of a floral wall with the words ‘Peace and Love’.

Toni Collette has announced that she is divorcing her husband David Galafassi after 19 years of marriage.

“It is with grace and gratitude that we announce our separation,” Collette wrote. “We are united in our decision and will continue to respect and care for each other.”
Collette and Australian musician Galafassi met in 2002 and married in a traditional Buddhist ceremony on January 11, 2003.

“Our children are very important to us and we will continue to thrive as a family, albeit in a different form,” he added.
The couple first welcomed daughter Sage Florence in 2008, and then had son Arlo Robert in 2011.

Collette did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

He was the lead singer of Toni Collette & the Finish and also wrote every song on the 11-track album Beautiful Awkward Pictures in 1996.
Collette is known for a wide range of film and television roles. Her breakout performance was in the 1994 comedy Muriel’s Wedding.
He was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Sixth Sense, and a BAFTA Award for All About a Boy and Little Sunshine.
