“We are going to witness another golden age in the world of professional wrestling,” says AEW boss Tony Khan.
Tony Khan has been a wrestling fan since childhood and All Elite Wrestling is his passionate work rather than just a business. Since opening the shop two years ago, AEW has changed the landscape of the wrestling world. Khan believed that AEW would succeed, unlike others who tried and failed to rival the WWE. I’m talking DAZNKhan said the following:
“I am absolutely confident that AEW will work, so no one will persuade me. It was obvious that my father had another interview and thought it was a bad idea, but I always knew I had the drive, the desire and the knowledge to implement it. I like to think that I built a business acumen to make AEW the best wrestling company in the world.
Tony Khan likened WCW’s bash to All Out at Beach 96. Bash at the Beach saw Hulk Hogan helping Kevin Nash and Scott Hall create stability in the New World Order. This is one of the most significant moments in wrestling history. He seems quite satisfied with how things are going and is asking fans for a big ride on what’s ahead. “We’re going to see something similar to the Monday night wars of the ’90s,” says Khan.
“I mean wrestling fans should be gearing up for a great ride,” Khan said. “I feel like we’re not there yet but it’s close. Things are going on and I don’t think wrestling fans have a long time to feel what it was like when WWE and WCW tried to provide the best entertainment in the late 1990s.
Khan said he was able to meet short-term goals for talent and TV deals, but he is now a big target. It will be interesting to see how the competition between the two companies emerges in the long run.
