Dave Chappell Hitting jokes on the LGBTQ + community is a fair game, and should not be censored – so says a gay comedian who supports a boyfriend.
Monroe of Flame -Black Trans Comic – Dave’s new Netflix special, says she’s in favor of removing “Closer” … because she says in the world of comedy, there’s no limit – and she simply doesn’t believe in censored standups.
See her description here, because it is very interesting. Certainly, Flame has a multi-dimensional viewpoint — from race to gender identity, and her chosen craft — and the way she feels more strongly is to freely joke about it.
Those jibes with something Damon Wayans He told us about it the other day The whole discussion. He also seemed to focus more on comedy than on Dave’s specials on LGBT vs. Black comparisons.
The flame goes on … praising Dave as “great”, and she believes he has united people in one way – to have a much-needed conversation.
The bottom line … Dave seems to be okay with using Netflix’s platform to speak his mind – and clearly believes that the actual inflammatory content is over.
Of course, not all of her communities — African-Americans or people under the LGBT umbrella — feel the same way … meaning this convo is far from over.
