A young beautician from Turkey posted a selfie video as a farewell caption minutes before she and the pilot were killed when the small plane she was flying crashed into the ground.
According to Central European News, 22-year-old Burju Saglam and 54-year-old president of the Yunuseli Sports Aviation Association, Hakan Koksal, left for the ill-fated trip from Pamukova, Turkey, on Thursday afternoon.
Saglam was all smiles as she posted shots and photos from the cockpit with the caption “Bye”.
The single-engine jet plane they were traveling in struck an overhead power line at the Ovaakcha Natural Gas Cycle Power Plant in Osmangazi and lost communications about 20 minutes after takeoff, the report said.
According to local authorities, one of the passengers was killed when the plane burst into flames on impact and the other crashed into the air.

The impact of the sinking plane was captured in dramatic footage and the wreckage of the plane was found in a car park near the power station. According to the report, no one was injured on the ground.
The fatal trip was said to be a “training run” for the 22-year-old, who previously ran the salon with her partner.

According to reports, Saglam told his parents that he was leaving the city on the morning of the incident in hopes of finding a new job.
