Valerie Bertinelli files for legal separation from her husband Tom Vital: Report


Valerie Bertinelli has called for the divorce of her second marriage because she has filed for legal separation from her husband, Tom Vital.

The Food Network star, 61, filed court documents in Los Angeles on Wednesday, asking the judge to end their marriage, which has lasted nearly a decade.

Bertinelli and Vitale tied the knot on New Year’s Day in 2011. However, the sparks were found to have sprouted, as they listed “irreparable differences” as the cause of the split. TMZ.

According to the gossip outlet, Bertinelli asked the court that they would not get the support of a spouse to move forward because the previous couple had a preliminary agreement to tie any loose ends in how they could split their assets. They do not share any children together.

Vitale is Bertinelli’s second husband.

He previously married Eddie Van Halen from 1981 to 2007. She and the late rock star welcomed Wolfgang, now 30 years old, playing bass in her father’s band.

Van Halen died in October 2020 after a battle with cancer. He is 65 years old.

At the time of his death, Bertinelli vowed to honor Van Halen again, “my love for our next life.”

“My life changed forever when I met you 40 years ago,” he wrote in part. “You have given me a real light in my life, our son, Wolfgang.”

In August, Wolfgang said his father’s death was “not yet real.”

“Recently I had multiple dreams where Pop and I were doing normal things and then I realized it was a dream. Stop what I was doing and hug him until I wake up,” Wolfgang captioned the set of Instagram photos at the time.

“I miss the f —- out of him,” he continued. “I can’t believe they’re not there anymore. Still don’t feel real. I’m doing my best, Pop.”

Bertinelli’s representative did not immediately respond to LBL Digital’s request for comment.
