Another year of Yankees baseball, another unbeaten. Of his four asons who manage the Yankees, Aaron Boone has a trip to the ALCS to show it off. The Yankees’ season ended Tuesday night in Boston because their $ 36-million-a-year ace couldn’t make it through the third inning. He gave up three runs and needed the Red Sox to cross the lifeless Yankees outside of Giancarlo Stanton. Where do the Yankees go from here? What will they do this season?
To answer those questions and bring you to the disappointing 2021 season, we bring you the season finale of the “Pin Strip Pod” with Jeff Nelson and Chris Shearon.
Pinstripe Pod Season Finale with Chris, Jeff and Jake:
- Cole Stunk: You can’t go bad in a playoff game. He laid the egg. $ 324 million ace and he couldn’t get through the 3rd innings. The hamstring problem may be the last few starts. He was everywhere with his fastball. If he isn’t 100% in the game to do or die, he shouldn’t be there. The boys defended Phil Nevin, who said it needed a perfect throw and a relay home to get a 50-50 play and Aaron Judge home. Joey Gallo is also on deck, who’s struggling.
- Disappointing season: This season has failed. A World Series is not going to cut it for the 27-time championship team in 21 years. They think it is good to do well in regular well. It’s not.
- Boone / Cashman: Will the Yankees bring back Aaron Boone? Will Brian Cashman keep his job?
- 2022 Yankees: What free agents stay? Who will go? Who will they leave behind?
