The show was undoubtedly nice and clean fun, so much so that Tia and Tamera don’t even share a kiss with their love interests. Tamera says that the decision not to do so was deliberate, at least on their part.

The series follows high school sisters through their sophomore year of college. The two dated till the end of their high school years but did not find serious boyfriends.

Ron Rico Lee stars as Tyreke, Tia’s boyfriend, during the final two seasons of the series. The two are inseparable, with the exception of a brief breakup in Season 6. Despite dropping out of high school, he gets his GED, holds a steady job, and is eventually accepted into the University of Michigan.

Tamera’s boyfriend Jordan is played by Deion Richmond. He also appears during the final two seasons of the show. He’s the polar opposite of Tyreke and just as goofy as Tamera. He eventually goes to the same college as Tia and Tamera.

‘Sister, Sister’: Which Love Interest Has the Highest Net Worth?

Despite being a steady love on the show, Tia and Tamera never shared an on-screen kiss on the lips with them.

“Because back in the day, we were smarter,” admits Tamera in a YouTube video where she answers fans’ questions sister, sister. She also couldn’t believe that the fan who asked the question paid attention to that major detail.

“I’m going to call it as it is,” Tamera continued. “We were so smart. I didn’t want to. I just, I didn’t want to. I was like, ‘I don’t even know that person.’ It was my reasoning, I can’t speak for Tia. But, I know I was being prudent. Let’s just say that.”

The sisters took a similarly tough stand in their personal dating lives

Tia and Tamera open up about how their strict and religious upbringing affected their dating life. The sisters were raised as Christians and taught to protect themselves sexually for their wedding night.

Tia started dating her now-husband Corey Hardrick about 20 years ago. During their first year of dating, they only went on group dates to avoid being too touchy-feely. She lost her virginity three years after dating Hardrick, saying she was his first and only one.

Tamera took more drastic steps. She admits that she was more guy addicted than her sister and was dating quite a bit, but she also took her virginity seriously. So much so that she was adamant on not doing so till she got married.

Tamera says she lost her virginity when she was 29 years old to her now-husband Adam Housley. Unfortunately, he felt guilty for doing so and broke things off with her. She says that the guilt was too much for her at that time. The two lived separately for a year and got married about 10 years ago and reconciled.
