WWE RAW: July 19 episode viewership and ratings revealed as Goldberg and John Cena return

WWE Raw There was a lot of star power last night with the return of john cena, goldberg, Keith Lee, and the main roster debut of NXT Champion Karian Cross. But did this week’s Money in the Bank results help their viewership? The answer is a resounding yes.

According to Brandon Thurston of WrestlenomicsThis week’s edition of WWE Raw drew 1.923 million viewers, up from 1.609 million last week. With the result of Money in the Bank and the return of the live crowd for WWE’s flagship show, this is a big no-no for WWE RAW as they begin their road to SummerSlam.

There’s no doubt that John Cena’s advertised appearance at the start of the show helped the numbers for last night’s WWE Raw. It’s also been reported that Cena will be working on a full-time schedule for the company between now and SummerSlam, so this isn’t the last we’ll see on Monday night either.

Money in the Bank Fallout has seen a huge increase in both WWE Raw viewership and demos

When it comes to the all-important 18-49 demo, WWE Raw also saw a huge increase from 0.43 to 0.57 over the past week. With both demo and viewership increasing for the second week in a row, WWE is probably thrilled about it as they continue their preparations for SummerSlam.

Goldberg’s return last night was a badly kept secret in the world of professional wrestling as a match between the two men for the WWE Championship was teased at SummerSlam. The presence of the WWE Hall of Famer on WWE Raw over the next several weeks will help with the casual viewership between now and SummerSlam.

WWE Raw began with John Cena returning after a surprise appearance at the end of the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on Sunday night. He challenged Roman Reigns at SummerSlam and had a “bro-off” with Riddle.

The show’s main event saw a Money in the Bank rematch between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley, which led to Nikki Ashe redeeming her Money in the Bank briefcase on Flair to become the new Raw Women’s Champion. This is the third time Flair has been cashed in with the briefcase since its inception several years ago.
