Yellowjackets star Kevin Alves: season 2 finale sets up a huge season 3

Fans of the popular Showtime series Yellowjackets were left stunned by the season 2 finale, which saw the remaining survivors of the plane crash in the Canadian wilderness finally rescued after 25 years. But the excitement didn’t end there as the finale also teased what’s to come in season 3, which star Kevin Alves says will be “huge.”

Alves, who plays the teenage version of Shauna on the show, recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the season 2 finale and what fans can expect in season 3. He teased that the finale sets up a lot of storylines for the upcoming season, including a possible new group of survivors.

“There’s definitely going to be a huge season 3. The finale sets up a lot of storylines that I’m excited for, and I think the fans are going to be excited for,” Alves said. “It sets up a lot of questions that are going to be answered in season 3. There’s going to be a new group of survivors that we’re going to be introduced to.”

While Alves didn’t reveal any specifics about the new group of survivors, he did suggest that they may not have been on the same plane as the original Yellowjackets.

“I can’t say much about the new group, but they might not be survivors from the same plane crash. That’s all I can say,” he said.

Yellowjackets has been praised for its gripping storytelling and talented cast, which includes Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, and Tawny Cypress. The series has been renewed for a third season, with no official release date announced yet.

Fans will have to wait and see what’s in store for the Yellowjackets survivors in season 3, but Alves promises that it will be worth the wait.

“I can’t wait for fans to see what happens next. I think they’re going to be really excited,” he said.

Yellowjackets season 1 and 2 are currently available to stream on Showtime.
